Since 2000, the Park Hill community has opened its hearts and gardens for all to enjoy. Come explore these unique outdoor spaces, meet the gardeners and tap into some ideas for your own garden creations.
As you meander through the gardens, you’ll discover the personalities and interests of the homeowners. You’ll encounter “urban farms” complete with chickens, beehives, veggies and herbs, as well as lovely enclaves to entertain or just relax. And as water becomes more and more precious, gardeners are turning to earth-friendly, xeric-style yard designs. Pergolas, captivating dining areas and outdoor kitchens are just a few more examples of the beautiful design elements you’ll see on your journey.
The Park Hill Garden Walk benefits Greater Park Hill Community, Inc., a volunteer-based registered neighborhood organization and 501(c3) that promotes the character and vibrancy of Park Hill; provides resources, information and advocacy; and preserves the quality of life and history of the neighborhood through community participation.
Funds raised from the Park Hill Garden Walk directly benefit GPHC’s operational expenses, advocacy and sustainability programs, five no-cost community food programs and community events. GPHC also publishes the award-winning Greater Park Hill News.
